Elżbieta Wtorkowska – professor of art in the discipline of art of conducting
A dean of the Faculty of Conducting, Jazz and Music Education at the Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, a lecturer at the Postgraduate Studies for Choirmasters and Postgraduate Studies in Voice Emission at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz and a vocal consultant of the Choir „Opera Nova” in Bydgoszcz. Since 1992 she has been a lecturer at the Post-graduate Studium of Polish Choral Conducting in Koszalin, a member of the Artistic Council of the Association “Polish Community” (Polish: Stowarzyszenie “Wspólnota Polska”). Since 2002 she has been a conductor of the Choir Conductors of Polonia „Fatherland”. She has conducted lectures and workshops on courses for Polish choirs conductors in Belarus (1996-2008), Ukraine (from 1998-2008), Lithuania (from 2003-2008), in the Czech Republic (1999-2001 , 2007 and 2008 ) in the United States ( 2006 and 2007) and England (2008 ) . In 2008 she conducted lectures and workshops choir in Sydney, Australia in 2009 inBiggar, Scotland. In 2010 she has been a vocal consultant to the InternationalChoralAcademy „In Terra Pax ” in Międzyzdroje, and in the season of 2002-2003 has been a vocal consultant of the Choir at the Castle Opera in Szczecin. In the years 2005 – 2008 she has conducted classes in pastoral phonetics at the Faculty of Theology at the Adam Mickiewicz Univeristy in Poznań, at the Higher Theological Seminary in Bydgoszcz. Since 1981 she has been conducting the Girls Choir “Canzona”, since 2001 the Female Choir „Canzona-Absolwent”, and since 2008 the Choir „Chamber Canzona in Murowana Goślina” (Polish: “Canzona Kameralna”w Murowanej Goślinie”. Together with the choirs “Canzona” she has given concerts in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Holland, Greece, Sweden, Russia, the CzechRepublic, in Slovakia, Hungary, Lithuania, Finland, Austria, England and Ukraine. She is the initiator and artistic director of the Edmund Szymański International Choral Festival in Murowana Goślina, which hosted choirs from many countries and continents ((Brazil, Ecuador, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, China, Japan, South Korea, Spain, France, Sweden, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, the Czech Republic, Slovakia). She is also a lecturer at numerous seminars for singers, speech therapists, teachers and choral conductors in Poland and abroad. She also runs vocal workshops for both amateur and professional choirs, as well as children, youth, academic, boys, female, male and mixed choirs all over Poland.
Ilze Valce – absolvent of the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music
In 1987 she received a Master’s degree, continued her doctoral studies in the years 2004 – 2007 and 2011- 2012. Since 1987 she has been a lecturer at the Liepāja University, since 2007 she has been holding a position of Professor.
In 1987 she founded the choir ” INTIS „, which she still leads and with which she participated in over 20 international film festivals and won several awards inter alia in Estonia, Germany, Sweden, Slovakia, Czech Republic, France, the Netherlands and Lithuania.
The choir “INTIS” cooperates with the Symphony Orchestra and Theatre in Liepāja and took part in many productions, among others, in the opera : ” Gundega ” by A. Janson, ” Der Freischutz ” and ” Abu Hassan ” by C.M.Weber, ” Amal and the Night Visitors” by G. C.Menotti , ” Kaupen , my Dear” by J. Lusen ( in 1999 it won the Grand Prix of the Latvian Theatre ) , as well as in the musical „Early Rust” by J. Lusen. In 1991 Ilze Valce she has become a conductor of the Female Choir of the Liepāja University “Atbalss” and along with it she participated in 14 international music competitions and festivals, earning numerous awards. In the years 1991 – 1993 and 1995 – 1998 she was a voice teacher at theatre schools, and in the period between 1991 and 2007 she vocally trained actors of the Liepāja Theatre. Ilze Valce was a conductor of many choral festivals organized in Courland and Latvia inter alia XI-XVII Baltic Student Song Festival and XXV Latvian Song and Dance Festival in 2013. Since 1995 she has been conducting classes and projects as part of the Erasmus programme in Latvia, Lithuania, Germany and Sweden.. She also organized workshops for conductors at the Liepāja University. She was awarded several times for her artistic activity by the LiepājaUniversity, the city of Liepāja and the Latvian Ministry of Education.
Rasa Gelgotiene – choral conductor
She graduated from the NationalM.K.ČiurlionisSchool of Art and the LithuanianAcademy of Music and Theatre. She completed an apprenticeship in the class in choral conducting of prof. A. Michailov at the St. Petersburg Conservatory. Already during her studies she started working as a concertmaster for the LithuanianAcademy of Music as well as a choirmaster of the children’s choir of the Lithuanian Radio and Television. In 1982 she started working with the girl choir of the VilniusUniversity „Virgo „, and in 1995 was invited to conduct the academic choir of VilniusUniversity. Since 2004, after the founding of the choir ” Pro Musica „, she has been conducting three choirs of the VilniusUniversity, which comprises almost 200 members – students and university graduates. With all the three choirs R. Gelgotienė achieved a lot of success – she was the winner in more than 30 international and national competitions, participated in about 100 international festivals. With her choirs she performed in 25 European countries, and in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Argentina and Japan. R.Gelgotienė released 15 albums, created more than 30 arrangement tracks, also issued a book „Choro dirigento užrašai” (Records of the conductor of the choir). , She is a member of the Presidium of the Lithuanian Choral Union, senior conductor of the National Song Festival, conductor of the World Lithuanian Song Festival and the Baltic Students‚ Song and Dance Festival „Gaudeamus”, choral consultant-expert of the Alytus County, director of the CulturalCenter of the VilniusUniversity, jury member in international competitions. R.Gelgotienė passes her many years’ experiences in choral conducting during her choir classes in choral conducting at the LithuanianAcademy of Music. R.Gelgotienė conducted master classes in Sardinia in Cagliari, Nuova Armonia” and Oristano for urban choirs in Spain in Extremadura and California in the EastBay for university choirs.
Iwona Wiśniewska-Salamon graduated from the I.J.Padereski Academy of Music in Poznań and holds a title of Master of Arts, which she received in 1990.
In 1990-1992 she continued her education at the Postgraduate Studies in Voice Emission, and during the period of 1994-1996 at the Post-graduate Studies for Choirmasters at the Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. In 1991 she created the Agricultural University Chamber Choir (since 2009 called the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin ), which she still leads. The ensemble was the winner of Polish and international choral competitions and festivals . Since 2003 she has been a vocal consultant working with the actors of the Puppet Theatre ” Tattler ” in Szczecin. In the years 2003-2013 she has repeatedly organized and gained funding, including: as part of the programme ” Youth” for the organization of the International Choral Workshop taking place in Poland, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia and Denmark. In 2004 she received a doctorate in Musical Arts, and in 2011 a title of habilitated doctor of Musical Arts at the I.J.Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan. In the years 2007 – 2010 she served as regional coordinator of the National Program „Singing Poland” (Polish: “Śpiewająca Polska”), covering the activities of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship school choirs. She was awarded the Bronze Medal „Gloria Artis” for her contribution to Polish culture, the Silver Medal „For merits in the service of the State”, the Medal of the University of Szczecin „SIS QUI ES – Pro Publico Bono” and a silver badge „Pomeranian Griffin” awarded by the Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. She is the Artistic Director of the International Festival of Choral Music in Ejszyszki Lithuania Passion Festival in Szczecin and the International Music Festival „This is the New Warpno „. In 2013 she was chosen by the Szczecin City Council together with the choir to implement the social campaign “Szczecin wholeheartedly recommended by the AMBASSADOR”.
